About

My research focuses on the history of philosophy of science and on science's implications for human flourishing. My book, Heidegger's Concept of Science (under contract, manuscript complete, and under review with Cambridge University Press), focuses on Martin Heidegger's philosophy of science. My research also discusses whether and how a scientific career can be fulfulling as well as the relationship between scientific institutions, the public, and politics.

After graduating in 2022, I got a job in academic publishing with the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. While I enjoyed the work and learned a great deal about academic and industry engineering research, I still found myself coming back to philosophy. The process of revising my dissertation into a book convinced me to continue researching and get back into the classroom with students.
